Why a cube looks different lit

A rounded lamp throws light evenly in every direction. A cube does not. Each flat face carries its own gradient, brightest at the centre and falling off toward the edges, so the shape stays readable instead of dissolving into a glow.

It is cut from a single block rather than assembled, so the light travels through unbroken mineral. Where the seam ran darker you get a shadowed band, and those markings are different in every piece.

Looking after it

Salt draws moisture out of the air, so keep it somewhere dry and wipe it with a dry cloth. Never wash it under a tap.

Delivery is 12 to 15 days from the date you order.

Before you buy

Why is the weight a range?
Because each cube is cut from natural rock, not moulded. Two cubes of the same dimensions can differ by most of a kilogram depending on the density of the block.
Why does mine look different from the photo?
Every block comes from a different part of the seam, so the colour and veining vary piece to piece.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a dry cloth. Salt dissolves in water, so never rinse it.
Where should I not put it?
Anywhere persistently damp. Salt pulls moisture from the air and will weep in a humid room.
