Hand cut Himalayan salt
A cube cut from one block of salt
Square edges, soft light. The straight faces make the veining inside read as clean bands rather than a scatter.
See the size and weightWhy a cube looks different lit
A rounded lamp throws light evenly in every direction. A cube does not. Each flat face carries its own gradient, brightest at the centre and falling off toward the edges, so the shape stays readable instead of dissolving into a glow.
It is cut from a single block rather than assembled, so the light travels through unbroken mineral. Where the seam ran darker you get a shadowed band, and those markings are different in every piece.
The numbers
Measured off the actual pieces. Salt is cut from natural rock, so treat these as close, not exact.
Looking after it
Salt draws moisture out of the air, so keep it somewhere dry and wipe it with a dry cloth. Never wash it under a tap.
